Edit
Your Profit Site Pro Page
Click on the Profit Site Pro Page Editor icon
to bring up the editing screen. Then go to the 'File' menu
, click 'Open' and select the page to be edited.
Practically anything
on the page can be changed or tweaked to achieve your desired
result. If you wish the top heading can be replaced by
your own graphics banner.
There is
comprehensive help, but anyone who is used to working with
Windows will be able to use the editor intuitively.
It is similar to many other editing programs, in particular
Word.
Here is
a picture of a page in the editor and started.
This is an earlier version of the present
page.

Along the
top you will see the menu headings and toolbar. We think
you'll agree it's pretty standard. Take a critical look
through this mini-website again and pick out all the
features we have used; graphics, internal hyperlinks, external
hyperlinks with page blanking, text manipulation etc.
We have
been pleasantly surprised at all the features on offer; more
than enough for even a newbie to make a great website.
And there's more!
But
now a word of warning; and this applies not only to Profit
Site Pro but to any project you engage in. Keep backing up. For
example, we made a copy of the folder before editing.
And we'll continue to back up at every major step along the
way. That
way, if anything goes wrong we shan't have to backtrack too
far.
Updating Your Website Home
Site Updater is a utility supplied with the Profit Site Pro
package that makes updating your website very easy. Provided
you've used the Page Editor to create the site and have all
the pages together in a folder you click on the
Updater bar.

This brings up a dialog box from which
you have to select your index.html
file.

Clicking
on 'Open' brings up another dialog box that shows which pages
will be updated if you decide to do so. It's all so very easy,
particularly if you've used more
complicated programs before.
Updating
the website involves making changes to all
pages to bring them into line with the Index page. It involves
changes made to the original template including the adverts,
but not to content. Thus each page shows the same ads. This is
usually what is required but otherwise leave the ads. part
blank until you're satisfied with the 'Look & Feel' of
your site, then fill in the ads. section individually for each
page.
